Our Story
Rise & Rep started out of frustration. Every time I would go to a sports store, the women's sports section was tiny or non-existent. And what was there often didn't reflect my size (I'm short!), my interests or style. I wanted to change that.
I built Rise & Rep as a shop 100% dedicated to women's sports. Here, you'll find apparel, gifts, books, and curated women's sports merch. If you believe women's sports should not be ignored and want to represent your fandom in different ways every day, we're here for you!
Hi! I'm Helen!
Besides my obvious love for all things women's sports, here are 4 things to know about me:
- I'm a Colombian-born New Yorker. I moved to NYC when I was 16, and have now lived in Queens for 20+ years. I'm honored to live not only in what's known as the World's Borough, but also the ancestral homeland of the Lenape people.
- I truly love almost all sports. I've attended the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Men's World Cup in Russia and the inaugural W Gold Cup in San Diego. I can't wait for the Women's World Cup in Brazil and LA28!
- I am a hardcore fan of Gotham FC, the NY Liberty, Colombia's Atlético Nacional, and the Colombian Women's National team (sorry, Team USA, you're next!)
- I've been building a small grassroots soccer community in New York since 2023 called Laidback Soccer. Check it out!
